To know about Merudanda Mudra


Merudanda Mudra brings awareness to the breath. In this mudra one can feel the breath travelling throughout the body .This mudra can be performed anywhere either in sitting position or in standing position. In Merudanda mudra one has to keep thumb straight and all four fingers touches the palm then keep the palms over your knees and start breathing in slow and controlled manner. If thumb is facing inwards then energy  travel and reaches lungs and lower abdominal and if you keep thumb up then energy travel towards mid-section of body similarly with thumbs turned toward out wards then one can energies chest and spine. Repeat each breathing step 8 to 10 times to get maximum benefit.
